Protecting Children from Predators
It is time for Colorado to join the 42 other states across the nation in protecting our children from predators. By establishing Jessica’s Law we will mandate a minimum prison sentence for any person convicted of engaging in improper sexual conduct with a child.
Protecting Western Slope Water
We need to protect the Western Slope’s water from downstream threats. It is the livelihood of our agricultural industry and we must ensure that Front Range and East Slope interests do not infringe on the life blood of our communities.
Efficiency in Government
In traveling throughout the 58th House District, I have met countless people who are worried about filling their gas tanks and paying their utility bills. As your representative, I will demand more responsible state spending and work to enact an efficiency ratio for government. We cannot allow government to ask more of the people until they can show they are operating without waste and inefficiency.
Supporting Local Law Enforcement
Our local law enforcement officers work tirelessly to ensure public safety. We need to give them the necessary tools and resources to effectively combat crime and protect our families.
Protecting the 2nd Amendment
As a gun owner, I am committed to ensuring that neither the federal nor the state government infringe on the rights of law-abiding citizens to bear arms. I support legislation that increases concealed carry permits and will oppose any efforts to restrict law-abiding citizens from owning a firearm.
Fighting for the Taxpayer
As a father and business owner, I understand the difficulties increased taxation brings to the family and job market. As your state legislator I will work to reduce taxes on working families and oppose all efforts to increase taxes on hard working families.
Strengthening Agriculture
Agriculture is the backbone of our economy in the Western Slope, the State of Colorado, and the nation. Farmers and ranchers give rural America the character many of us see as the embodiment of the American Spirit. We need to protect our rural communities and our farms and ranches by breaking down the regulatory obstacles that inhibit their success.
