Air Quality Petition
Four Corners Power Plant, located on Navajo land in northern New Mexico, has been expelling excessive pollutants into Colorado creating a permanent haze around Mesa Verde, clogging the air and damaging the health of residents. The smog and fine particle pollution created by NOx cause childhood asthma, damage lung tissue, exacerbate respiratory issues and cause premature death.
Colorado should not bear the health burden of a plant that provides services for New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and California. Colorado gets no benefit from Four Corners Power Plant, only toxins. It is time for this to stop!
Sign the petition today demanding the Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar take action to stop Four Corners Power Plant from jeopardizing the health of citizens in Southwest Colorado.
